This reminds me of the movie “Along Came Poly”. There was a whole scene in that movie dedicated specifically for this topic of decoration pillows.

Sew the pillows onto a bedspread that can be easily rolled up at night and placed back in the morning with everything in place. 😁

I have six pillows, I live alone so I only need one. I never make the bed so it never looks 'nice'. The other five just sit there hoping their day will come. I'm sure it will.

I still don’t get the candles. In my youth, candles normally meant someone had not paid their electricity bill and been cut off.

We put the pillows on our Couchs. Usually there are very few on the beds, exept the ones we sleep on.

My husband and I have somehow non-verbally agreed that we don't even have to make the bed unless people who are not us are going to be in our bedroom. We have exactly 1 decorative pillow and it was made for us by my best friend as a wedding gift.

We probably came to this agreement because every time we visited my mom, we had to remove 12 pillows from the bed to go to sleep. 😄

My wife doesn’t worry about the work involved. She’s manoeuvred me into doing it 😂😂

To avoid any doubt about competences in our house we hung a plate at a very visible point, saying "mum's the boss".

That gave clarity over pillows, blankets, spoons, switching the lights, etc. not to list the whole catalogue here...

Always a good idea in every household to clear that up at the earliest convenience lol

Hilarious and a widespread peculiarity, all those pillows and cushions that never truly serve a function. The thing is if someone actually complimented you on the wonderful pillow display you would recoil in horror and demand an explanation. Like immediately.
