A few months ago, a friend was aghast when I mentioned that I have never seen Game of Thrones and she looked at me as if I had just sprouted three heads. I simply looked at her and said, “And I’m still alive even without having seen the Game of Thrones. Imagine that!”
Well I guess it’s difficult to understand when it’s such a well known series. But I don’t really think it matters in the long run not everyone lives and breathes TV
I’m an avid movie and TV watcher - probably too much so - but there are some things that are even beneath my dignity and an insult to anyone’s intelligence to watch. (Think anything Kardashian, any of those real housewife abominations, and similar brain-eating, IQ-reducing excuses for entertainment.)
Funny you should say this because the other day a friend of mine mentioned how he's never seen The Goonies and i was outraged 😂 He's almost 50 and I really feel like he SHOULD have seen it by now lol. I also discovered in this moment, that he hasn't seen Game of Thrones or Stranger Things! So then I'm thinking, am I the idiot for watching them because what's he doing with his time? Lol I'm thinking something much more elite Things as you've suggested
I haven’t seen any Star Wars, however Matrix and Matrix Reloaded, and the Titanic. Well, the part of Jurassic Park where I didn’t look anywhere else, too. Citizenfour. And: several films since 2017 from Hidden Figures over to Bruce Springsteen — Deliver me from nowhere.
SSOooooo true. 🤣 I am occasionally that one annoying person-- with no knowledge of, say, Shrek. BUT I have seen most of the others you mentioned. Enough of the Matrix to fight my way out of a paper bag; the first Star Wars that for whatever reason wasn't episode 1...???😏🤨. I just sort of stopped watching after my kids were up and out of the house. And I'm fine with that. 🙈🙉🙊

I had never watched GOT because I didn’t have HBO (or whatever service it was on) and couldn’t afford to add another service.

I used to love going to the movies. But not so much anymore 😀
I just started my holiday tradition of watching "Christmas Vacation" as many times as possible. Just heading out to the country to get the tree 🎄.
