I blame auto-fill or auto-correct or auto-I’m going to ruin your day for a lot of this. I’m convinced that it lies in wait and makes its sneaky changes one or two seconds before I hit send. I agree that our brains see what we want them to see. In which case proofreading is pointless. Unfortunately, that view is heresy to me so I’ll continue proofreading at least 5 times anyway. I can imagine a future where the auto-fill et al prints a disclaimer saying that all errors are the fault of the human author. LOL

There has to be a reason why authors employ proof readers 😀

Hmmm.. I just submitted something somewhere - pressed 'view post' - up popped the previous, unedited version. typical.

The system is working against you. And us.

And because my obsession with proof reading my own emails and always ending up with typos anyway, I had to obviously read your article twice to see if I can find the typo you hadn't spotted. I haven't found one. I'm sure when I send this comment and just before I close this article I'll see your typo that I haven't spotted. The system conspiracy loop continues 😅

I should have left a typo 😀

Never BCC, one of the clowns (usually your boss or your boss' assistant) will do a reply-all and expose your wily ways.

Always forward instead.
