I don’t think Tim Ferriss ever worked a 4-hour workweek.

That guy is a very hard worker. I don’t think he ever stops.

I have read the 4-Hour Workweek and recall rolling my eyes several times. It’s definitely not as easy as he makes it sound, especially when you think about all the work that goes on behind the scenes.

I would love to work 4 hours a week and make millions, but passive income takes a lot more than that. There’s a lot of “ make money while you sleep “ but the hours put in while awake aren’t mentioned.

Thank you for busting the myth on this one. 🙂

I think he hit on a sure fire way for him to make millions. Even though it’s pretty much nonsense 😊

I agree utterly. It’s a fallacy, and the man of which you are speaking is selling a product concept he imagined. (4 hour work week) as you so pointedly state certainly doesn’t exist for the average person.

Coincidentally enough, if you love what you are doing, it hardly seems like work does it.

Just some food for that as they like to say.

Thanks for the article, I wouldn’t normally have read it, but the algorithm has decided to only suggest 1 male content creator for every 100 in my feed.

I didn’t like how, that would make me look like I only engage with women on here. Like I’m some kind of idk creep or something…

Maybe it knows I’m single and wants to throw me a bone. Not realizing that I don’t want that particular bone tossed in my direction.

Thanks for the read, I appreciate this article for the truth it tells. Keep up the good work.

I love this! To be fair to Tim Ferris, his ideas at the time were really mind-opening and, even though I was in a corporate job, made me rethink how we could automate tasks and processes in my role. It was really innovative at the time. That said, we've gone too far with hyper-productivity / hyper-optimisation and I agree that "passive income" is totally bullshit. Great read Brad!
